Alaska is a joint import with Jacqualine Lincoln (ARMAHANI Kennel's), Pamela Francis (MAGPIELANE Kennel's.) and myself Articmal Kennels. We have brought Alaska from Finland bred by Saila and Mika of TEELIKAMENTTEN Kennels . Alaska has a superb pedigree with TOP winning, much sort after dogs behind him, including Finnish Lapphund Specialty winner 2006 & 2007 & Multi Champion Lumiturpa Api (Alaska's Sire), Staalon Hurlumhei (Alaska's Dam) herself a gorgeous bitch and Dam to Opposite Sex Finnish Lapphund Specialty winner 2006, the stunning Multi Champion Lumiturpa Norri and of course the great Multi Champion Fjallfarmens Alaska, our Alaska's namesake. These are just some of the stunning dogs behind Alaska. We are expecting Alaska to bring Australian Finnish Lapphunds to a new level. Many thanks must go to Saila and Mika for breeding and raising Alaska for us, until he was old enough to export to Australia. Saila and Mika raised Alaska along side thier own dogs and while living in Finland Alaska had many experiences travelling, including a trip to Lapland at Christmas and attending a few shows. Words cannot express to Saila and Mika our thanks for entrusting this special little man to us. I am the lucky co-owner who gets to have Alaska live with me and join my pack of lovely Lapphunds. Upon viewing Alaska today in quarantine I was blown away with his floaty movement, gorgeous front and rear, angulation and boning I havent seen on a dog here in Australia yet. He has a very cheecky personality and although a little shell shocked from his long trip, he didnt take long to warm to his new Australian Mums. Alaska will be a much appreciated addition to both Armahani, Magpielane and Articmal's breeding program, where we have the ambition to breed top winning, sound, healthy, working Finnish Lapphunds. March 2007. Alaska meets Jacqualine Lincoln from Armahani kennels for the first time when Jacq went to Finland to watch the Finnish Lapphund Specialty. Lucky Jacq got to spend a few days with Alaska bonding and I think it went well. Alaska is certainly turning into a MAN, but still very much loves his cuddles. The next day at the Hamilton Kennel Club champ show, Judge: Mr A McQuire (QLD), Alaska was awarded BEST of Breed, and Best Puppy In Group 1St September 2007.. Alaska attend's his first show here in Australia at the Hamilton Ladies Kennel Club, Judge: Mr E Singer (Vic), Award Dog Challenge and Best Puppy In Group. 21St April 2007.. Alaska attends his third show in Finland, handled by his Breeders Saila and Mika, Alaska once again walked away with BEST OPPOSITE SEX PUPPY OF BREED. Judge Pekka Teini's critique read: "Colour: Black and tan. Puppy has gorgeous balance. Right expression. Forequarters and hindquarters are good balance. Good angulation. Beautiful tail. Good quality of puppy coat." 25th March 2007.. Alaska attends the Finnish Lapphund Specialty in Finland. Handled by his co-owner Jacqualine Lincoln who was in Finland to see the show, Alaska was awarded BEST OPPOSITE SEX PUPPY OF BREED. The judge was Tapio Kakko from Jäkäläkummon Kennels who critiqued Alaska as "Good proportions. Good boned male puppy. Strong head but lower jaw could be strengthened. Stop is a little flat. Beautiful tipped ears. Beautiful angulation. Already very sound. Beautiful movement. Good temperament." 25th February 2007.. Alaska attends his first Informal show in Finland. Alaska is awarded 1st Place out of 8 Puppies. Judges comments: "Size and proportion are very well. Strong bone structure with good head and expression. Good neck and top line. Good tale. Good body.
